Hi guys! I'm taking this from Still Life in South America, one of my favorite blogs. Participate. It's fun! I would love to read your responses.
Six Random Things about ME, the writer of Eat Move Write:
1. The Indiana town I grew up in is so small that they only have two stoplights. Very small. In fact, my high school graduating class was less than 50 people.
2. Mr. Myers is my second husband. I married when I was 20 years old and was married for three years.
3. When I moved to San Diego the only things I brought with me were my shoes and my clothes in black trash bags. I found a roommate a week before leaving Indiana off of Craigslist and I did not have a job.
4. I do not get bitten by mosquitoes. Some might call this a "myth," but ever since I had gastric bypass in May 2005, I have not even once been bitten by a mosquito.
5. I started my career at 19 years old as a newspaper reporter after flunking out of college (despite the fact that I was a straight-A student all my life previous to college).
6. I named my first pet Cauliflower. It was a hideously ugly dog. I named all the dogs in that litter after vegetables, but we only got to keep one. Cauliflower was the runt and became ours.
So, now I either tag 6 people OR invite all of you my lovely bloggie friends to do it. I choose that option. I'm not following the rules really, but here they are anyway:
Link to the person who tagged you.
Post the rules on the blog.
Write six random things about yourself.
Tag six people at the end of your post.
Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Let the tagger know when your entry is up.
=========Food==========
Breakfast: PB&J on Whole Wheat Toast w/Honeydew
Snack
Lunch: Leftover Kashi Pizza, Fruit Salad (minus the grapes and tomatoes -Mr. Myers at them all) and two danish cookies
Ok, gotta go workout and then class.
See ya tonight!
========YOUR TURN=========
Leave me 6 random things about YOU! I cannot WAIT to read them!!!

Love the random things! It is great to get to know you better!
ReplyDeleteI'll consider myself tagged...give me a day or two and I'll get my list up!!
Have a great weekend!
1) I've lived in Europe for 9 years.
ReplyDelete2) I was engaged to my HS Sweetheart but alas, I snapped out of the young and dumbness.
3) Growing up, I had dogs named Oscar and Echo. I will forever name my future dogs after the military phoenetic alphabet.
4) My mother has been married 3 times. None of them were my father.
5) I never changed my major in college even though I wanted to and probably should have.
6) I moved in with my current boyfriend after only dating for 5 months.
1. My co-blogger is also from Indiana and her last name is Meyers!
ReplyDelete2. I tell my dog I love him about 40x a day.
3. I tell my husband I love him maybe half that amount.
4. I am totally freaked out by possums.
5. I crack my ankles and toe knuckles.
6. I haven't eaten at a McDonald's in years.
I'm also invulnerable when it comes to mosquitos. We share a super-power.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting your six random things! Did you nickname your dog Cauli for short?
ReplyDeleteI am a dog fanatic. I can't wait to get one. Do you and Mr. Myers have one?
Hi! I just came across your blog. Love your eats! I've been dying to try that Kashi mushroom pizza, and now I really have to get it! Here are my random things:
ReplyDelete1. The love of my life is my kitten, Peanut (who you can see featured on my blog!).
2. My favorite color is purple. Second favorite is blue.
3. I'm tall... 5'9"
4. I'm a Pisces.
5. I love carby foods-- pizza, pasta, waffles, you name it!
6. I'm a vegetarian who has dabbled in veganism. Will never go back to eating meat though!
I love your six random things! My favorite is the one where you said you pretty much packed up and left to San Diego. My mom did that when she went to Germany (then had me 2 years later). She didn't know the language or anything, but she was brave. Just like you! I admire that a lot.
ReplyDelete1. I don't want to have a cynical outlook on humankind in general. Although I do get disappointed a lot. I just don't understand why people can't just be positive toward one another. Buuut people in the blogging world are nice :)
2. I use to be kind of ashamed of my Colombian background because everyone thought it was the same thing as Mexican, and being Mexican has a bad stigma around it (although it really shouldn't). But now I am proud of being German AND Colombian.
3. My New Year's resolution is to really work on regaining myself. I'm trying to keep my chin up and be confident.
4. I wonder if I come off as an unapproachable prude or something. I've been single for quite a long time.
5. When I dance, I don't care what anyone else is thinking. I love dancing!
6. I hope I inherit my mom and grandma's great aging genes! They both look so youthful and beautiful. I think having a passion for life and being a kind person have a lot to do with how they've aged though. Really boring and not-so-nice people tend to look older.
That's so cool about your move to San Diego- I did a similar thing when I went to New York last year... :)
ReplyDeleteI forgot how much I loved Danish cookies! I wonder if they still sell them here- my missing for today :P
I'll do this over the weekend :D
I love your 6 random things! Tell me your secret for #4 please...I get eaten ALIVE by mosquitoes!
ReplyDeleteHere are mine:
1. I'm left handed and do just about everything backwards.
2. I absolutely detest mayonnaise. Ever since I was a Subway "sandwich artist" in high school, I can't even look at the stuff.
3. I adore my dog Zoe. Once, when I was out of town on a business trip, she ran away from my friend's house, only to show up in the parking lot of my office :D She was then arrested and detained by the Doggie Police until my friend bailed her out.
4. I have double-jointed toes.
5. I love the smell of orange-scented dish detergent. I wish someone would make a perfum that smells just like it.
6. If I could change just one thing about myself, I'd give myself the ability to sing.
