Today was busy and fun. I had a fairly standard lunch. Turkey and 2% Cheddar w/Dijon on Whole Wheat, 1/2 banana (shared with the Mister), a few pretzels, and yogurt.
After lunch, I worked on some articles, while Ryan basically cleaned the entire house. He even took down the tree, which I'd been avoiding now for like oooooooooh the entire month of January. Look how pretty the living room looks now.
I love him. :D
I didn't make it to the grocery store like I'd planned. Instead, Ryan and I grabbed Starbucks and wandered around Barnes & Nobles for a few minutes. I wanted to pick up this month's bookclub pick: Skipping Christmas by John Grisham. It's Sunday and the meeting is Wednesday. I need to get reading!!! I also bought a Sue Miller book that was only $5.98. I like to think I discovered her (back in 2002) before her books started hitting the NY Times Bestseller list.
After that, we hit up Target (pronounced Tarjaaaaay by us classy folks). We basically wandered around aimlessly with me texting and talking on my cell phone. It's new. I keep meaning to take a pic for you. Blackberry Curve. It's a huge step up from my little crappy flip phone, I'll tell you that much. We somehow managed to spend $80, even though we didn't have a list, and then we came home to watch the Jets demolish the Cowboys.
Dinner was Crockpot Fajitas. Around noon-thirty, I threw in a can of black beans, a packet of fajita seasoning, frozen chicken tenderloins, and three chopped orange peppers with a little water. At 5pm, they were ready. Amazing!!!
I picked up those whole grain corn tortillas at Tarjaaaay today. They were amazing. I would highly recommend them. Two shells make one serving. I had these two and one more. I was starving, these were amazing, AND I didn't even think about making sides, so... ya... I had three tacos. Sue me. :D
I also grabbed Blueberry Lavender Sorbet while we were out. It actually picked me. I was looking at the frozen vegetables and it started calling to me. What's a girl to do?
Eat it, of course.
It was pretty much everything I thought it would be. Awesome.
Tomorrow is Monday! This week will be my last week "off" before school starts back up. Sigh... I love school, but seriously, it's so nice to have a life sometimes. :-) I shouldn't complain. I have an amazing life!!!
I'm going to go attempt to devour my bookclub book. Tootles!
What's your favorite ice cream flavor? Do you buy light or eat the "real stuff"?

My favorite icecream flavor always changes, but I can't go wrong if I pick up Edy's Slow-Churned Peanut Butter Cup. My favorite...until summer rolls around and oatmeal raisin cookie becomes available at the icecream barn near my house. :)
ReplyDeleteThe amount of times I actually *have* icecream, I've decided to just choose my favorite flavor and brand, without worrying so much about light or not-light. :-)
