Heya! Today was a busy bee day.
I had a quickie breakfast of toast and eggs. I was a little sick this morning, so the camera didn't happen. So, I had a doctor's appointment to start with, then I went into the office, thinking I'd be there an hour or so. Thankfully I threw an apple in my bag to tide me over until I got home at lunch.
...because I didn't get out of there until 3:45!!! I made a mad dash to the house where I gulped down half a turkey/swiss sandwich and beat a hot trail to class.
Today was our last class. Awwwwww. It made me sad. I always hate for things to end. It was a fun group and we ended it with some slow stretches. Fun.
When I got home, Ryan was at the gym. I had intended to convince him to do a night run with me, but I figured he's be pooped from the gym. Instead, I did situps, pushups, 20lb weighted squats and jumping jacks. (I do these in sets: situps/pushups back and forth for 3 sets; squats/jacks back and forth 3 times). Supersetting.
We decided to order a pizza, so I swung by Vons to pick up a ceasar salad and grabbed the pizza on my way back. Pepperoni & Sausage. Usually that's not my favorite (I'm more of a sausage and mushroom girl), but it was yummmmmmy!
I actually had two whole slices. I always blot them with paper towel before eating. I considered picturing the paper towel for you, but it was disgusting... so I spared you.
I'm curious. Does take-out pizza ever fit into your healthy lifestyle? What's your favorite pizza?
xoxo

Well there's this one take-out pizza place I've been dying to try. It's also a restaurant I've blogged about before. I can only imagine that their pizza tastes incredible.
ReplyDeleteThe other day I had an incredible pizza with gorgonzola, mozzarella, pears, red onions, and pistachios. It was.. DIVIIINE!
I think pizza can certainly fit into a healthy lifestyle. Personally, though, I don't think most pizza delivery places use the most pure ingredients. So, if I am to indulge I prefer a Whole Foods pizza that I can bake at home or for even more fun with the family, I make my own! There is a great pizza dough recipe on Jenna's eat live run. However, Mallard likes to order or carry out pizza about once a week :)
ReplyDeletethey just started doing takeout at the mario batali pizza place in la near us - so i'll have to make room for it in my life!!!
ReplyDeleteAll foods are in my healthy lifestyle, I don't deprive myself of anything because that only leads to binging for me. Pizza is one of my favorite foods though we don't order take out often. We normally go to Uno's or make it at home.
ReplyDeleteI pretty much fit everything I want to eat into my diet one way or another... I'm actually not a HUGE pizza fan, but when the craving hits, spinach and ricotta is my go-to of choice :)
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE pizza. Of course it fits into our healthy lifestyle! Mental health, that is! ;) Everything in moderation, right?! Last night, the boy even mentioned that it had been a couple months since we had pizza. I think he's itching for it.
ReplyDeleteMy fav pizza is pineapple jalapeno. Yes, I know it sounds odd, but it is so SO good! Usually we end up with a specialty pizza like garlic chicken (with white sauce) or a mediterannean pizza or something like that.
So... you had an apple in the bag, but it didn't keep doctor away. Theory disproved!
ReplyDeletepizza always fits into my diet :D haha
ReplyDeleteI love margarita pizza the best!
I love pizza. My favorite is Stephanies Pizza in Ocean Beach. Everything there is vegan and delicious! I think pizza can fit perfectly into a healthy diet. It is all about control and good choices.
ReplyDeleteAdd me to the list of healthy pizza lovers. I really enjoy the Kashi frozen pizzas or making my own with a whole wheat Boboli Crust at home. Tonight we're having BBQ Pork loin pizza with broccoli, mushrooms and red peppers, can't wait!
ReplyDeleteIf pizza had no calories and I could eat what ever I wanted, my favorite would be a Meat Lover's pizza but alas, I don't think there's room in my healthy lifestyle right now for THAT... even in moderation, I'd feel too guilty to enjoy it!
Take out pizza totally fits into my life!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is italian sausage with mushrooms and green peppers!
