Yay Sunday. I really love the way Sunday feels.
We woke up early this morning and decided to go over to the school to run on the track. We didn't go last night, thankfully. In fact, we didn't do anything last night. Instead of heating up the house by cooking, we went to Souplantation. It was the perfect meal for a hot day.
Anywho, before the run today, we both consumed quick and uninteresting bowls of cereal. (Me - plain cheerios.) We did three miles at the track. We got up early to beat the heat, and still, it was sweltering. We still enjoyed it, though. When we got back, we were both starving.
I had an egg sandwich on the last of the mini-bread and the end of the bag of cherries.
I've done a little cleaning, but mostly we've been lazy. Watching Expedition to Africa or something like that. Ryan is folding laundry right now. I have some work projects I need to take care of and a trip to the grocery store is on the docket, for sure.
We're basically out of almost everything. I used the end of everything to make some whole-wheat pita pizzas for lunch.
Ryan's pita had tomatoes, turkey pepperoni, and chopped up cheesesticks (did I mention we're out of EVERYthing). Mine had spinach, the end of some cheese and kidney beans. It was very tasty. Contents seemed to shift during baking. Dunno.
It's very hot in my house right now. As much as I enjoy the low humidity of our California heat, I also miss having air conditioning. It was hot back home in the MidWest, but we atleast always had AC!!!

your pizzas look great- I think some amazing stuff comes out of kitchens with no foods!
ReplyDeleteIt's hot here too... I don't even have a fan :(
Try 105 degrees with humidity is southern Alabama, not fun! The a/c runs several marathons a day trying to keep up with the heat here!!! I found your blog from a link on another blog and your food photos and story drew me in. You're making me very hungry and very guilty since I just pulled out frozen Smucker's uncrustables for my daughter and Captain Crunch cereal for myself, LOL! I guess I better become a follower so I can come back and be inspired by you. I'm glad I found you. ~Mandy
