June Gloom
The day got off to a good start. I slept a little later than average. About 6:45. It was nice. My breakfast was okay. I'm missing my Orowheat English Muffins, but they weren't on sale, and we're trying to be more frugal. So, I had two pieces of Ezekiel w/almond butter and jelly and topped with banana slices and a couple scrambled eggs, along with about 6 ounces of green tea. I wanted to be well fed for my personal training session today.
I should have known we'd only do paperwork and discuss what I wanted from my sessions. We didn't do any training. She confirmed that I was doing exactly the right amount of cardio (approx 45 minutes daily) and that I needed a better structured weight regimen that included more supersetting. I was glad to hear that. She suggested about 1600 calories daily. That's about what I eat, so that's fine too.
As for the beach, today has shaped up true to June Gloom. We have a high of 65 with no sun in sight. Sigh... I think we're still going to hit the beach, pick up seashells and grab some Starbucks. We had a busy week, and I'm really craving some "us" time.
I had a snack when I got back from the gym. A cheese stick, yogurt and I snuck one of Ryan's turkey sausage patties he'd just made. Not sure what lunch will bring since a picnic is out of the question.
Will update later. Happy Saturday!
